Kimberly Garcia is a paralegal for Bloodworth Law in Orlando, Florida.
Kimberly works under the direct supervision of attorneys Alyson M. Laderman and Michael J. LaPorte on Personal Injury Protection Litigation (PIP).
“I work on the PIP side of the firm,” Kimberly said. “Our clients are doctors, chiropractors, medical centers, emergency services. It’s rewarding to help those who help others medically get better after an accident.”
Born in New York, Kimberly has lived in Orlando since 1991. She was originally interested in law during high school, and in college at the University of Central Florida, earned a B.S. in legal studies.
“I took a left turn into the hospitality industry,” Kimberly said. “But I went in knowing that I would eventually go into the legal field.
“Five years later, I learned the trade, I worked, I grew, and I’m here today bringing that expertise to Bloodworth Law clients.
“I enjoy helping and serving others, so it makes sense that what I do is within a service profession. “But what I really love is the atmosphere at Bloodworth Law. It’s like a second family…someone you’re with for eight hours a day.
“I like the support from my peers. It very much is an environment of x‘hey, I got you, don’t worry about it.’ And that’s how it is. And it’s not every location or firm that has that, but we do.”
In her own time, Kimberly enjoys participating in cancer organization fundraising walks. She volunteers at the Orange County Animal Shelter where she adopted a “giant cuddle bug” named Titus, a seven-year-old Pitbull/Labrador.
“I of course love spending time with my dog and taking him out. He keeps me active. And spending time with family…that’s so important, I’m close with all of my siblings most who live here.
“I like movies, so we have comedy nights, sappy romantic movie nights, horror nights…a little bit of everything. Even documentary nights.
“I also enjoy playing pool, I’m actually a bit of a pool shark…it’s great stress relief.”

It really comes down to the fact that I enjoy helping clients try to resolve their legal problems. I can do that by assisting the supervising attorney who accomplishes that. I have a true passion for it, and I’m drawn to the research and data aspect of the industry.
We dig deep all the time because we can’t ever stop fighting for our clients.
I look at it like I’m going to fight for them like I would for a family member. I’m going to put in 110% because they deserve it.
These are hardworking people who earned their money. It wouldn’t be right to do any less for them to get it back.
