Marvalous Chaffee is a receptionist at Bloodworth Law, PLLC, in Orlando, Florida. Marvalous is one of the first voices that clients hear when they call the law firm.
“I pay careful attention to everyone who calls,” Marvalous said. “When I hear the different stories, I appreciate that someone is telling us what happened to them. I listen while navigating the information that they give, and then, based on the situation will ask them all the key questions to help prepare for next steps.”
Marvalous routes calls, takes messages, handles initial client intake information, scans mail, and assists law firm paralegals.
Prior to joining Bloodworth Law, Marvalous worked for an insurance company and is a licensed property and casualty insurance agent.
“While I dealt with a lot of attorneys, I was really interested in seeing their point of view because I had handled the other side of it,” Marvalous said. “I used to sell automobile insurance, home insurance, personal property insurance.”
In addition to legal and insurance fields, Marvalous worked with an architectural firm, and a rehabilitation and nursing center.

My whole thought philosophy in working with and helping clients is that I try really hard to be transparent.
A lot of care goes into customer service here. I worked for Chick-fil-A when I was in high school and that nailed down for me how you approach people because their standards were set so high.
Ever since then, every job that I’ve ever worked, I make sure that I bring my A game when it comes to customer service. Not only having decent human courtesy, but making sure you treat people with respect. Everyone is cared for as an individual with a problem — sometimes several problems — that they need help with. And that’s why we’re here.
When people call in, they sometimes become emotional. I make sure my voice remains calm and clear because every situation is different and sometimes delicate. They’ve been through something usually bad, which is why they’re calling us. I want to make sure they know that I’m here for whatever they need, and I give them my undivided attention.
A Virginia native, Marvalous has enjoyed life in Florida by exploring Disney. Her favorite parks are Epcot and Animal Kingdom. She also likes taking road trips with her husband to visit Florida’s cities and has been to St. Augustine, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Largo and Daytona Beach. She loves visiting Largo, not only because her mother-in-law lives there, but because the city has a beachy vibe and phenomenal food.
