Attorney L. Reed Bloodworth
Founder and CEO
Background
Florida attorney L. Reed Bloodworth is the Founder and CEO of Bloodworth Law, PLLC, with offices in Orlando.
Reed founded Bloodworth Law to fight for clients with the most compelling cases across the state. Reed has built a law firm with a team that works diligently for every client.
Bloodworth Law handles a range of practice areas to provide extensive resources to clients facing large, complex cases. But Reed maintains personal involvement with clients who want to know he’s there for them.
Reed has been recognized nationally for his work in Trust Litigation, Probate Litigation, Business Litigation, Employment Litigation, Commercial Litigation, and Real Estate Litigation.
“What I find very appealing about working as an attorney and why I enjoy practicing law is the importance of fighting for the client’s best interests,” said Reed, who has practiced Florida law since 2004.
“At a traditional, bill-by-the-hour law firm, attorneys are often incentivized to bill for endless hours. I’d rather focus on getting results just as quickly as I can for my clients.”
As a partner at his previous law firm, where there were hundreds of lawyers, Reed handled business litigation but was the sole attorney who handled probate litigation and trust litigation.
Prior work exposed Reed to more than 20 years of experience of trust and estate litigation and business litigation.
Reed pursued his dream of becoming an attorney by attending the University of Florida, Levin College of Law, where he graduated with a Juris Doctorate in 2003.
The Bloodworth family history with The University of Florida began with Reed’s father, Leon Bloodworth, who was captain of the University of Florida baseball team. Reed’s mother also attended the University of Florida.
Before attending law school, Reed received his B.S. in business administration and finance with honors from Wingate University.
He worked as a bank officer, a loan officer, a Secretary for the Loan Committee, and an assistant branch manager at Farmers & Merchants Bank in Tallahassee, Florida.
Reed attended Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, on a baseball scholarship. He transferred to Wingate University in North Carolina to play football on scholarship.
He is a Florida native born in Tallahassee. He grew up in Apalachicola, where he graduated from high school.
Reed enjoys spending time with his family and is a huge Florida Gators football fan and an Orlando City Soccer supporter. Reed likes fishing, hunting, and spending time outdoors.
