Attorney Philip Partridge

Of Counsel

Background

Florida attorney Philip Partridge is Of Counsel for Bloodworth Law, PLLC, and represents clients in trust litigation, probate and estate litigation, commercial litigation, and real estate litigation.

Phil joined the Bloodworth Law team in January 2023 and has practiced Florida law since 1991. Phil is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Court Mediator, a Florida Supreme Court Certified Appellate Mediator, and, a Florida Supreme Court Approved Arbitrator.

Phil is a graduate of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA) and Advanced NITA.

With every client and each case, Phil draws on experiences in Florida trials, appeals, mediations, and arbitrations. He brings multiple platforms for legal dispute resolution to families and businesses.

“The thing that gives me the most satisfaction is when I help somebody,” Phil said. “Especially if they’re facing a complex or challenging situation and they really need experience in that field. When I’m able to help them, it’s just a really good feeling.”

One of Phil’s first and most memorable cases involved a complex probate administration and real estate probate case with many legal challenges for the family involved. It was an ancillary administration of a New York estate in which the decedent owned several hundred acres in Florida.

“We dealt with a multitude of complicated issues, trying to make sure that A., our title was clear and B., we marketed the property,” Phil said. “There was an old railroad easement that ran right through the property…there were environmental issues because it was such a big strip of land. Then ultimately, we sold that property to a county…it was interesting dealing with all the intricacies of a land deal of that magnitude.”

Phil brings a diverse and vast background to Bloodworth Law. He has been a Certified Continuing Education Instructor for Florida licensed insurance adjusters; taught university-level courses; and is a first-party property claims mediator for the Florida Department of Financial Services. He taught Liens, Tort Damages, Proposing A Settlement/Demanding the Limits and Common Discovery Issues for continuing education requirements for licensed adjusters.

Phil was the appellate board vice chair for the Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises section of the City of Orlando, appointed by Mayor Buddy Dyer.

Originally, Phil became interested in the law in second grade during a trip to the library.

“I picked up a second-grade version of the Abe Lincoln biography and read it,” Phil said. “He was a lawyer before he got into politics. I remember thinking I wanted to do that. So that thought had stuck in the back of my mind all the way up going to college. It’s one of the reasons that I applied to law school.

“It seemed like lawyers were always in the thick of things and lawyers were instrumental in some of the key changes in society. So it furthered that motivation, I just want to become an attorney.”

Phil is a 44-year Central Florida resident who lives in Orlando with his wife and sons. Phil enjoys watching baseball, and coached 14 seasons of Little League with his son’s teams. Both sons play baseball: one at the University of Florida, and the other at Edgewood High School. Phil’s other favorite activities include snow skiing, fly fishing, hiking, and biking.
