Florida Attorney Reed Bloodworth

I’m Orlando, Florida attorney Reed Bloodworth, Founder and CEO of Bloodworth Law, PLLC, and I practice in the areas of trust litigation, estate or probate litigation, business litigation,  employment litigation, and estate planning.

I’ve handled hundreds of cases since 2004, and I founded Bloodworth Law as a solo firm in 2016. Bloodworth Law is a 202022 U.S. News & World Report “Best Law Firm” with offices in Orlando and Winter Haven.

Bloodworth Law’s attorneys have litigated cases in Florida’s State and Federal Trial Courts, Florida’s Appellate Courts, and Federal Appellate Courts. The firm’s goal is to litigate the most compelling cases for clients across Florida.

Now, here’s a little about those practice areas and what we might be able to do to help you with your case.

What Is Trust Litigation?

Trust litigation involves legal disputes over a trust, oftentimes between beneficiaries and trustees. Typically, trust lawsuits involve the administration of trusts or the duty of trustees to the trust, or to the beneficiaries of a trust.

If a beneficiary has objections regarding the actions of a trustee, they may file a lawsuit, and the trust may enter litigation.

Trustees accused of improprieties have the right to defend themselves in their management of a trust.

What Is Estate Or Probate Litigation?

Estate or probate litigation occurs when there are disputes in probate. Probate is the formal process by which a decedent’s will is submitted to the Florida court and authenticated. This means the court has accepted that a will is properly executed.

Probate or estate litigation takes place within probate if there are suspicions of:

  • Undue influence
  • Lack of capacity
  • Tortious interference with a testamentary expectancy.

What Is Business Litigation?

Business litigation is civil litigation involving one or more business entities as parties in a legal action or a lawsuit.

Business litigation focuses on state and federal laws involved in the running of a company. It can involve a dispute between a company and its stakeholders, clients and vendors, employees, contracts, acquisitions, taxes, or between other parties or entities.

Filing A Lawsuit is a Serious Decision

First, the filing of a lawsuit is a serious decision and one that can have a significant impact on you, your family, and your business.

In a business, or an estate and trust litigation setting, those legal choices can affect vast amounts of your money. In a personal injury setting, those decisions can affect your very quality of life. Regardless, you and your family and your business deserve someone to fight for you.

Bloodworth Law Key Practice Areas:

The key areas of my practice are:

  • Trust litigation
  • Probate or estate litigation
  • Business litigation
  • Employment litigation
  • Estate planning

Some typical business litigation topics are:

  • Breach of Contract
  • Business Torts
  • Breach of Fiduciary Duty
  • Negligent Misrepresentation, and,
  • Shareholder and Partnership Disputes

And in those situations, we typically represent a minority owner of a company against the majority owner of a company for various wrongs he or she may have committed against you.

We know how to work through the most difficult family and business legal problems. Whether your stepparent left you out of a will, you were accused of mishandling the duties associated with a trust, or your business partner wants out of the business you built together, talk to an attorney at Bloodworth Law about what happened to you, your family, or your business.
